Since 1985, Dr. Stanton has been practicing as a Thoracic Surgeon in private practice in Pretoria, specializing in open-heart surgery, lung surgery, and general thoracic surgery. His interest in aesthetic medicine began with the treatment of hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating). Traditionally, this condition required a major invasive operation, which posed risks for patients. However, Dr. Stanton discovered that administering Botulinum Toxin (commonly known as Botox) into the sweat glands could effectively replace this invasive surgery.

After attending several training courses, Dr. Stanton gained extensive knowledge of the benefits of Botox for both aesthetic and medical purposes. He now practices aesthetic medicine alongside his thoracic work. His practice offers treatments for hyperhidrosis, as well as the administration of Botox and filler products for both aesthetic and medicinal purposes.
