CorKon (Pty) Ltd was formaly formed in 2007 but has been operating since 2004 as the contruction arm of  Dreammaker Fruits.  Dreammaker Fruits is one of the largest growers and exporter of berry products in South Africa and is based in Porterville. Due to the location of the farm and restricted access for the delivery of building materials, building contractors were reluctant to service Dreammaker Fruits. This then led to the formation and establisment of an contruction department led by Mr. Kobus Smit. The total development of Dreammaker Fruits was budgeted at R 100 million of which the contruction portion came to R 35 million.
