Halsted as a family business started in 1902 with ties to the Halsted Brothers in Zimbabwe.

On 29 April 1952 the company “Halsted and Company ( Pty) Ltd” was formed and the first branch was opened in Welkom. Twenty years later a branch opened in Bloemfontein. Today we have additional branches in Kimberley, Upington, Rustenburg, Vryburg, Kathu,Klerksdorp, Jhb and Cape Town with a vision to open many more branches across the country

Growing from our first delivery vehicle in Welkom which was an old black thick wheel bicycle which is still on display in Welkom, we now have a large distribution fleet servicing all areas in South Africa.

Over the years Halsted has built up a large client base & our commitment is to strive to give the best possible service to each and every one of them. As stockiest of all major brands fit for industry we are able to provide a just in time one stop solution. We also have several products that are manufactured specifically for Halsted, our range of industrial and household cleaning chemicals and our own range of workwear.
