It all started in 2000 when SA Peanuts was known as P-Farm. P-Farm processed peanuts and supplied to various major customers in the peanut industry.

The business soon expanded to exporting and P-Farm started exporting to several countries. P-Farm became a leader in the peanut industry and today is known for being one of the largest processors of raw peanuts in South Africa.

During 2012, Golden Peanut, Georgia, USA visited P-Farm to acquire shares in P-Farm. That same year, Golden Peanut bought the majority stake in P-Farm and changed the business’s name to Golden Peanut and Tree Nut SA. Golden Peanut US is part of ADM. which is one of the 3 largest agricultural companies in the world.
